Scavenging

So LaShawn and I have been running around for the past couple days online, scavenging to see what we want for Christmas. She gets money each year to get what she wants for herself for Christmas, and so we were looking around to see what was cool. She doesn’t think she’ll get enough to get a PS3 or anything like that, but she was thinking of getting us each a DS. I pointed out that 2 DS would cost just under what a single PS3 would, but she wasn’t listening. LOL Personally, I’d rather she get a PS3 because there are a few games I want to play that are only on the PS3. )

She’s also thinking of getting herself a camera. I want one of those too, but I’ll have to wait until I can afford to buy one for myself. )

Shaved the Dog

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Yes, you read that correctly. Around 6:30 this evening, LaShawn and I entered my apartment. We armed ourselves with 2 sets of clippers, a pair of scissors, a pair of kitchen shears, 2 different dog shampoos, a towel, and the dog. At around 8:15-8:30, the dog was completely shaved and bathed - and itching like mad. So the other shampoo came into play and he was bathed a second time. He was just finishing up being itchy when we left. He is shaved, clean smelling, and adorable. )

And I’ll have to take a picture of him tomorrow night in his sweater, because let me tell you, that was absolutely adorable as well. )

Shopping

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I did a bit of shopping today. Not too much. Well, I started yesterday and then did the rest today. ) Our local Fashion Bug was having a 50% off sale on a few racks and so I picked up a pair of these pants in khaki for $10.98. I like them and they’re comfortable, which is the biggest thing.

That was yesterday - today I went to Wal-Mart and got a Tony Stewart #20 hood Christmas ornament and a Tony Stewart #20 mini-stocking. I want to get all the #20 Tony Stewart Christmas ornaments this year so I don’t miss them, since this will be the last Christmas I can get them!

After that it was off to Barnes & Noble where I picked up a copy of Karin Slaughter’s “Faithless.” I have “Beyond Reach” from a friend but I wanted to read “Faithless” first.

I also priced some cameras and decided that right now, a camera will just have to wait. (

Voiceless

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Yeah, that’s me. Whisper. LOL That’s about all I can do, and let me tell you, the few minutes I was on the phones today were not pretty at all. I had one guy who couldn’t understand me, hung up, called back, and got me again. *sigh* So yeah. Not happy.

Yesterday was not a happy day at work at all. Apparently someone in our bay at work smells bad - so they drug us each into the HR office one at a time to remind us that we are required to shower daily, wear clean clothes, use deodorant, etc. First off - we shouldn’t be in THAT close of quarters that we are able to smell one another. Second off - if you think someone smells bad - talk to THAT person. In fact, if YOU think someone smells bad - tell that person yourself instead of going ot the boss and saying “someone here stinks.” Have some damn balls people.

Plus, I turned in my 2 week notice that I’ll be leaving to go to Alorica yesterday. Then today I get a call from Alorica that I missed, which I’ll have to return tomorrow and see what they wanted. I know I’d tried to see if I could get into today’s training class, but frankly, they never called me back about it yesterday and so I figured there wasn’t room. So the call I got at 11:30 this morning (funny, my phone didn’t register a missed call) had better not have been asking why I wasn’t there this morning - because I didn’t know I was supposed to be!

In any case, I’ve got some things to do, so I’m off for the time being. TTYL.

I Can’t Wait

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Until December 1. Because as of December 1 I will no longer be a Stream employee, I’ll be an Alorica employee. I can’t wait. I’m so sick of Stream and the BS I’m putting up with there. It will be so great to just get the hell out of there.

I Want to Go!

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Motley Crue is going to be in Omaha, NE on February 10th. Omaha is close enough, but there’s just one little problem. If I take the job at Alorica, I won’t have paid time off and won’t be able to go to the show because it’s on a Tuesday. However, if I have perfect attendance the next couple of months and if I stay at Stream, I can request the 10th off, rent a car and go. And frankly, if I go to Alorica, I probably won’t be able to afford to rent a car or buy the tickets. It’ll be a stretch to buy them - strike that - impossible to buy them, so never mind. I don’t want the “upper bowl” aka nosebleeds, which I can get for $27.50. I want to be on the main floor - $73-93. Can’t afford that. Not 2 of them anyways and still rent a car. Not gonna happen. I wish, but not gonna happen. ( And I wanted to see Crue so badly this time around too. *sigh*
