You know, it’s very funny but I’ve been needing to get some new window dressings for a while. The ones that came with my apartment are kind of icky, but I haven’t figured out what to get. I know for certain I need new drapery rods. What’s currently in the apartment is draperies and so I’ll have to get new rods for them as the rods in the apartment don’t actually work. I’m also considering just getting regular curtain rods, but I’m not sure yet. It depends on how much work I decide to put into putting up the new window dressings.

I was looking around on the internet the other day for window dressings, and I stumbled upon a few great looking sites, including one that had war era curtain rods. I have to say, they were pretty interesting to look at. I’m not too sure they’d actually go with my apartment, since I have no idea how old my building is, but I’m not thinking it is that old. I know it’s an old house converted to apartments, but as I said, I don’t think it’s that old.

Another thing I found was that this website, WroughtIronHaven, has all these beautiful window dressing hardware accessories, and that you can actually get a discount if you use the backdoor to get into their site. Basically, what you’ll want to do to get this discount is go to the homepage, scroll about half way down, and click on the comma (yes, the comma) in the phrase “Our Store now has over 1,300 home & garden items for you to choose from!” It’s a pretty cool idea.

Now for the moment you’ve been waiting for. I’m sure you’re curious to see what curtain/drapery rods I’ve picked out for myself – well, here they are. LOL

The first is this completely awesome star curtain rod. I love stars, so of course, this one would be a perfect fit for me. I just need to measure my windows to get the right size! They’re gorgeous don’t you think?

The other one I liked was this one they call an acorn curtain rod. I like this one a lot, but I prefer the star rod. Both are beautiful though, and frankly, they look to be of excellent quality. I can’t wait to save up some money to get one of them.

I’m definitely going to be checking out WroughtIronHaven when I’m ready to purchase my new window dressing hardware – they’ve got some pretty good prices and beautiful hardware.
