Vertigo

Posted by Charity Lynn on May 10, 2009 in Blogging |

When I woke up this morning, I seriously thought I was fine. I rolled over, gave the cat some love, and proceeded to crawl out of bed. I got about halfway to the bathroom when it hit me. That lovely wave of dizziness/light headed thing. Now the room doesn’t spin, thankfully, but it’s very annoying to feel off balance and feel like I’m going to fall down. It reminds me a lot of trying to walk after spinning around in circle when I was a kid. So not cool.

I’m just hoping this and my headaches are not related. A gal at work, who is no longer working at Alorica, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Now I know that I shouldn’t get all worked up about it but migraine headaches and dizziness were her symptoms. So you can see where I’m a bit concerned. However, only one of my headaches took a while to respond and then a shot of Toradol took it out quite nicely, so I’m good.

I just wish I knew what was causing the dizziness thing. Last time it was because my body was telling me the hard way that Ultram is NOT a med I can take! LOL I just hope the dizziness goes away soon, because frankly, it’s really annoying.

  • I deal with that kind of vertigo off and on. It seems to hit me when I first wake up, or when I go to bed. There's nothing worse than lying flat with your eyes shut and feeling like the world is spinning around you. :( I don't know what's up with mine, except I've had issues with dizziness and vertigo since having Ryan/having my tubal ligation, so I'm thinking it's a hormonal issue. In your case, I have no idea. I hope it's nothing serious!
