We have a chain of convenience stores here that the greater majority of their locations have been robbed several times. A couple of those locations have been robbed more than once in the same week. It almost makes me wonder where their security cameras are, and why it is that they don’t try to do more to prevent the robberies from occuring in the first place.

This particular chain of stores is hiring right now as they are building and opening a new location. I, however, am not going to be applying for any of the jobs there due to the fact that I don’t feel comfortable working for a company who manages to get robbed that often – not to mention BFL and her mom are not too keen on the idea of my working for that chain and possibly being on the wrong end of a robbery attempt. (Not that there is a RIGHT end of a robbery attempt.) Go figure though, the only jobs we’re finding that I’m actually qualified for are either that company or another gas station that isn’t too far from us – but that just so happens to be in the midst of changing hands. Not applying there either. Not about to get caught in the shuffle of new owners who might fire people.
