Staying Healthy?
Lately I’ve been looking a lot at my life and the lives of my pets. My pets are pretty healthy. The vet has never recommended any sort of pet supplements for them, because they’re fed well, they get plenty of exercise, and they are just in general in good health. Myself? Not so much.
I have discovered that I am in dire need of a re-evaluation of my health and general well being. The headaches, along with dizziness and light-headedness I’ve been experiencing over the past week or so has led me to believe that it is time to do something about it. So when I see my doctor Tuesday afternoon, I am going to be speaking with him regarding what can be done about my weight.
I am no longer comfortable just putting myself on a diet. The reason for this is that whenever I have done so in the past, I have either not stuck to the diet, or the diet has caused some odd reaction. I do have an “odd reaction” to report, however, as there may be men who read this blog, and it is of a girly nature, I will not post it here.
I have decided it is best for me to get it together and start working toward a thinner, healthier me. At this point, walking is about the only exercise I could do, so I plan on walking (with my doctor’s permission of course) and then seeing what his ideas for a weight loss program would be. I want to know if he thinks I should try Weight Watchers or something like that, as my health insurance does give a discount for those type of things, or if he wants me to try and monitor my food intake and exercise levels myself.
We shall see on Tuesday.
