Who Ordered This Cold?

All right! That’s it! I want to know who ordered this freezing cold weather. 
Seriously though, the past few years we haven’t even really gotten cold until almost Christmas, and this year, it’s snowed twice already here! I guess it’s time for us to make sure all the vents are free and clear (unblocked by stuff), check the furnace filters to see if they need to be replaced, and get the heater turned on. We were hoping that could wait a bit longer, and maybe it can – we’ve been using the gas oven for a heater and it’s been working quite well for us so far.
I like winter because it’s easier to get warm than cool. LOL But frankly, I don’t care much for the snow, although my Texas-born dog, who hated it when we moved here, now loves nothing more than to frolic in the snow. He’s been disappointed though. The two times it’s snowed so far, the snow has melted as soon as the sun has come up. But a lot of people are saying that snow this early in the fall means a long, hard winter. Oh well. No skin off my nose. I’m still unemployed, it’s looking like I’ll be that way for a while (no jobs here right now) and so, well, frankly, I’m not going to be worried about not making it to work! LOL
