I Like My Job

Posted by Charity Lynn on May 13, 2009 in Blogging |

A lot of the people I work with don’t like their jobs. In fact, the guy who sits next to me hates his. He has done nothing but whine and moan and complain since we started that he doesn’t want to be on the phones. It’s a call center. That’s what you do. You talk on the phone. He told them when he applied he didn’t want to be on the phones. Yeah, well, sorry bub. You’re on the phones. Suck it up.

Myself, I like the job fine. I’m not trying to sell light bulbs, insurance, area rugs, or anything else people just aren’t interested in. I’m helping people figure out why their cell phone bills are so high, getting them on the right plan, changing phone numbers, etc. I like the job just fine. That did not, however, stop me from applying for the quality analyst position that opened up recently though. Here’s to hoping they at the very least interview me for it!

lol @ "im not trying to sell area rugs" - i work for justarearugs.com and I like my job just fine! haha.
  • Why would you apply for a job at a cell center and not expect to be handling phones for most of your shift? Heh. Personally, I always liked the call center jobs -- particularly the inbound ones! Billing and technical support aren't bad things to handle. Good luck with the quality analyst position! :)
