It’s Not THAT Bad
Honestly, I don’t understand why people are so afraid of the “public transportation” system. It’s not that bad. Granted you do get a few oddities there – the bus that takes me out to work is the one that runs by the mission, so there’s a few homeless people who manage to get the $1.70 fare to get there, but other than that, it’s not that bad. Of course, in crappy weather, such as today’s, the busses run a bit on the late side. That was fun. But I didn’t get to work late, so it was all good.
And they do run on Christmas Eve, so that’s good. I don’t work Christmas, but I do work Christmas Eve. I wish I didn’t, but oh well. LOL
In any case, it’s really not that bad to have to take the bus. Unless you count standing out in the freezing cold to catch said bus. That’s not so great. But once you’re on the bus, you’re warm and you’re not the one who has to worry about doing the driving.
And besides, I’m saving money over what I’d pay per month for gas, car payment, and insurance. Plus – our busses run on soy biodiesel, which is a renewable fuel, which helps the environment.
So nope, the bus system isn’t that bad. I encourage everyone to check out their local bus system. It just might be worth it!
