I am hoping beyond hope that soon I will have a new job and that I will be able to actually start looking for a new place. Right now the job market stinks, but there are a boatload of apartments for rent. Probably because nobody can actually afford to pay their rent since they keep losing their jobs!
I’m fortunate because I at least have a little bit of income that comes in each month, but many people, BFL included, have nothing that comes in at all. If BFL didn’t still live with her mom (so her mom doesn’t have to live alone), then BFL would be up a creek.
I am still working on finding a job, but like I said, the job market stinks, and although I’ve put in applications at a lot of places that said they were hiring, nothing has come my way just yet. I’ve had a couple of interviews – one with Kohl’s and one with Target, but neither ended with me getting a job. Although Kohl’s still might call – they said end of this week, beginning of next week would be soonest they’d be calling anyone, so it is a possibility, but not likely to be honest.
