My mom has a Sharp since 1992, and I bought my own just like it in 2004. I paid around $180 for mine. I have four cats (three are Persians!) and a dog, and between my mom and I we've always had a few cats around since she first got her vacuum cleaner.<br>My vacuum routinely sucks up fur, popcorn, regular dirt, and on occasion has been treated to pine needles, legos, small bits of toys, earrings, coins, crayons, dried chunks of clay and Play-doh, and just about anything else you can imagine.
