Cleaning Up

While I am still jobless (though I do have an interview at Target on the 6th), BFL’s mom has decided that we should look into getting the house cleaned up and decluttered. There is a lot of stuff here that none of us need, and there is still stuff from when I lived here back in 1999-2001 that belongs to me but has never been gotten rid of or dealt with. I’ve rented a storage unit to store anything we decide to keep in. The main thing is getting rid of old, crappy stuff and getting some new, good stuff to put in the house. Mainly some of the rugs. Like the kitchen rugs. Those are horrible, threadbare, and in dire need of replacing. Hopefully we can find something good for those. We also have a couple of throw rugs in the living room that I’m thinking should be replaced. We can get decent replacements for those pretty inexpensively as well.

But the big thing is going to be deciding what goes to Freecycle, what goes to charity, and what gets put up for sale at a yard sale. There is a ton of stuff, plus we’ll have to get stickers, make sure that we know who owns what out there and make sure the person who owns the stuff gets the money for it. Fun fun! I just hope we can get it done before yard sale season is over!
