Those Annoying Ads
Have you seen those annoying ads lately? They’re popping up almost everywhere? I see them in magazines, newspapers, and now I’m even seeing them on some of my favorite websites. They’re strange ads if you ask me. They ask if you are a woman who is unsatisfied with her weight – then go on to say that they need women between the ages of XX and XX to participate in a study to prove the effectiveness of these fat burners. They say they’ll pay you up to XX amount for helping them out, plus you get to lose weight.
Look, I know I need to lose weight. But seeing those ads all over the place just really drives it home that apparently no one wants overweight people. At least that is how it feels. I hear all the time about the “health benefits” of losing weight. That my life span will be greatly increased. I’m sorry but you don’t know that. If I am supposed to die at 38 years old, then I’m going to die at 38 years old whether I’m fat or skinny. That’s just how it is. My life expectancy cannot be measured by anyone because no one knows when I’m supposed to go.
But the point here, sorry for getting away from it, is those idiotic ads. Really? Seriously? You’ll pay me, plus give me all the stuff for the diet, etc? I can’t help but believe that these diet aids they’re hawking this way are not yet approved and that you’re just human guinea pigs if you take the opportunity. If I were using diet pills, I’d stick with FDA approved ones myself.
