Ever notice all those extremely annoying late night/weekend infomercials? I swear, they hawk everything from makeup to small business opportunities. Some of them are funny to watch, and they all seem like great products but honestly, why bother buying them off the infomercial? They generally end up being in stores in a month or two anyways, and they usually end up coming with the same “great deal” that was given on the infomercial. Of course, the stores mark the prices up for the extras that were “free” if you ordered from the infomercial.

However, there is one product that I want – that little slider burger pan. LOL I like that thing. I think it’s cute. Oh yeah – and that new Foreman grill with the changeable plates. I like those. I’d like to have those.

I’m trying to find a theme that no one would be able to have a cow over. It can’t have any celebrity/otherwise copyrighted images, it has to have 2 sidebars, it has to be widget ready. Oh, and I have to actually LIKE it. And the last part is the problem. The themes I’ve found, I HATE with a passion. And I do mean HATE. These themes are detestable in my eyes to the point that even changing the colors on them to suit my color tastes would not help. Yes, they are that bad.

The funny thing is, most (note I say most) people do put celebrities, etc that they like on their blog headers. Because it shows what they’re interested in. I put NASCAR and rock bands on mine because I like NASCAR and rock/metal music. Truthfully, I’m not into “cute” and really prefer not to have cute stuff on my blogs. It’s just me.

I don’t mind pre-made themes on my niche blogs like Bloody-Kisses.Org or BasicallyGeeky.com because frankly, I like the themes I’ve found for them. But my personal blogs like here, Got-Wicca.Org, and Gothic-Peach.Net, I prefer to actually have my own themes that I create for them. I just don’t know. Whenever I get inspired to do graphics for a theme, it’s usually a celebrity that inspired the graphics. . I guess the Motley Crue theme will stay for now, and I’ll try to come up with a more holiday inspired theme for here pretty soon.

You know, a lot of the stores are doing their best not to lose customers to the online world. I mean, I’m talking doing things such as ignoring the fact that express lanes have item limits, allowing people to just let their kids run amok, screaming like banshees, etc. It’s no wonder that people are turning more and more to shopping online. Of course, I doubt that anyone would be shopping for Phentermine online for Christmas, but hey, you never know. Someone might have put it on their Christmas list.

I’ll be doing my shopping both online and at brick and mortar stores, depending on what I’m picking up. I know that I have a pink iPod shuffle & a Nintendo DS Lite case to get for LaShawn, and then I have to figure out what I’m going to get LaShawn’s mom. I have no idea of what to get her. She’s 60-some years old and frankly, pretty much has everything she wants. Yeah. This will be fairly interesting.

Ok, so as you can see from the post that should have published last night (so I fixed it because frankly, it was supposed to PUBLISH last night, not SAVE), LaShawn bought me the crimson & black Nintendo DS Lite I’d been drooling over since she showed it to me on the Sears website. We didn’t find it at Sears though. We found it at Wal-Mart. She got the cobalt & black DS Lite for herself.

She also bought me two games – Animal Crossing Wild World & Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass. She bought herself Animal Crossing Wild World, Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Spore Creatures, and The Legend of Sypro Dawn of the Dragon. We’ve been having fun playing with the DS Lites and just generally bumbling around on them. My biggest problem is, I’ve gotten to a point in Zelda that what the walkthroughs I looked at for assistance and what’s going on in the game are not matching up. So I don’t know if I did something wrong somewhere or what. All I know is I’m frustrated. LOL

Thanks to my very best friend in the whole wide world, I am now the proud owner of a crimson & black Nintendo DS Lite. I’m off to play the games she got me with it – Animal Crossing Wild World & Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass.
