Well, sorry I’m a bit late. I don’t have a screenshot of my random list, but I couldn’t get the darned thing to upload anywhere! *grrr* In any case, there were 53 total entries into the contest, and the winner is (insert drumroll here)… Joana of Nanashi-Inc! Congrats Joana!

Ok, so I noticed my websites weren’t working. I thought that was odd enough, especially since I haven’t had ANY downtime for them since I switched to this host about 4 months ago. So I got a couple people to pop over to my sites and they confirmed that no, they weren’t working. I figured this was going to take a while to figure out.

Imagine my surprise when I logged into account management where I get my invoices for my hosting and pay them, paid my hosting bill which was not due until May 1st, and my sites suddenly came back up. Which means they’d shut off my account BEFORE my fees were due! That is NOT cool with me, and to me indicates VERY poor customer service. I have websites that do not belong to me on this hosting and cannot afford for those sites to be down.

What angers me even more is I checked yesterday and had not yet been invoiced, but yet when I looked today, it said I was invoiced yesterday. Um, no I wasn’t. I don’t know where you got your information from, but you obviously need your heads removed from your butts. My hosting account is due on the FIRST, and you turned me off on the LAST DAY of the PREVIOUS MONTH!

I think it may be time to find a different host again.

I am suffering from a massive migraine headache right now. To the point that my lunch was 2 hours ago and I didn’t even bother to eat it because I just didn’t want it. I know it’s from stress, because I got hired at another company and now my boss is wanting me to wait and see if she can possibly find some way to keep me here. I don’t know. Even if I switch to a different project here, I still take a $1.00 an hour pay cut. Then again, I’d still be employed by the same company and wouldn’t have to worry about looking like a “job hopper” on my resume. I already do look like one.

My thing is, you know, the other project we have here does sales, and I’m not a sales person. But frankly, I’m bored. I like the call center, but I’m sick to death of the project. Seriously. I’m sick and tired of the project. I’m tired of dealing with people who don’t know what they’re doing with their computers, who screw them up and then want me to fix it, even though it’s nothing to do with their internet connection. I’m sick and tired of it all. I mean, I’m not being challenged, 99% of the time, I’m trouble shooting off the top of my head. So yeah, no challenges. When something does change, frankly, it’s cosmetic, and it’s simply to figure out. Bleh.

Oh well. We’ll see. They have until the 12th to give me an answer as to what they’d want to do.

Ok, that looks silly I’m sure, but….. today is my 7 month anniversary at Stream. I have officially worked here for the longest I’ve ever worked for a call center. I never work at them long, usually the stress is getting to me far too soon and I end up leaving. Actually, to be honest, I have an interview at another call center, but you know what? That doesn’t mean I’ll get hired, and if I don’t, I’ll still have this job. I’m not going to quit here until I know that I have another job, AND I am going to give a 2 week notice.

Calls today have been all right. Mostly transfers to the local office for either verification of account holder to get a password reset, or because a modem is offline and is staying offline even after powercycling. Not too bad. I can deal with calls like this all day long.
